Uberti’s Winchester Model 1873 is an authentic reproduction of “The Rifle That Won The West”. Originally manufactured from 1873 to 1923, the Winchester Model 1873 was designed to be an improvement over its previous model the Winchester 1866, and just like its predecessor, quickly gained a reputation for accuracy and reliability. The Model 1873 was immediately popular upon its release largely due to the fact that it was chambered in popular handgun cartridges of the time. This allowed its users to carry just one type of ammunition for both rifle and pistol. While not as powerful as full-sized rifle rounds, the use of pistol cartridges was more than sufficient for taking down most game found in the American West – save for the biggest and most dangerous. The Model 1873’s claim to fame was also its sturdy steel frame and great durability, as well as its short length which was handy for carrying on foot or while on horseback.
Uberti’s Model 1873 series of rifles are authentic reproductions down to the last detail, including an A-grade walnut stock, case-hardened parts, and side-mounted loading ports.
